A devastating test for Dorset dairy farmer Paul

Dorset dairy farmer Paul has had a devastating TB test with 36 positive results.

Nearly a quarter of his herd are set to be destroyed after they tested positive for bovine TB.

Thirty one of the reactors were in calf heifers, which will have a significant impact on his herd.

TB Free England spoke to Paul before the cows went. He said: “It’s not only losing the animals now it’s losing the unborn calves inside them. Potentially I’m losing fifteen replacements for next year and the year after.”
